New post Slicks 2010 Catch Report
Managed to get a 24hr session in on sat, Set up on a swim that has fished well most of last year but wasn't holding my breath for this trip. Finally settled in to my bag around 8ish as it was around -4 to -5 and ice was already starting to form on the lake. After an uneventful night i awoke around 8.30 to find 25ft ice out in front of me. My lines frozen in amongst the ice. After a quick cuppa began to boil the kettle to start to free my lines, after what seem to be around 5 litres of boiling water around the tips of my rods and with the ice still solid i had to resort to using my landing net handle to free them.
No fish caught but will return on thurs for a longer session in hope of a winter carp!

Well nothing else to report lads, after that fish on thurs night the lake shut up shop, over the weekend there must of been 18 anglers on the lake and all that was caught was 2 bream. Oh well enjoyed being out there and having bank 1 in these conditions was more than pleasing. I have 1 photo but unfortunatly there was no body (and being on the phone not having a self take kit) to take it for me so i have the fish laying in the carp cradle. Will post it up when i have downloaded it of my phone!
