Crafty's 2010 Catch Report
Well here goes for another year then lads
Im guna start off with my targets then
New pb common carp (currently 31lb 12oz)
New pb mirror carp (currently 29lb 8oz)
Hopefully a new pb this year you never know
Well had a bit of a sess if you could really call it a session. Well anyways im not classing it as my first session of 2010 as i did not use my kit and wasnt there for very long. Well i was up at 4:30am, actually i never went to bed as i was up all night on carpspace and also doing a very large 50 page assignment for sparsholt. I finally finished the assignement at 4:00am in which i went and got ready for fishing which i was going to meet a friend at a lake at his house with fish in there hitting 20's however we have seen fish a lot bigger. Anyways i made a nice bacon sarnie and a mug of espresso which gave me a bit of a boost. It was now 4:15am and i need to meet my friend at 5am. So i made my way on my bike for a 45minute journey to his house in an extremly fast cold wind have to say not the most enjoyable bike ride i have had. Well i finally made it to his house bang on 5am. He was nowhere to be seen, i range him 4 times and he finally awake and ready to fish at 5:20am which was not a great way to start the fishing. As i came on my bike he supplied tackle and bait, we then had a 20min walk about trying to find anywhere fishable. There was only a very small fishable section which was partly free of ice so me and my friend thought rather than wasting time waking up and stuff might aswell wet a line so we did. Fished two rods right off the edge of the ice with a small critical balance boilie on a KD rig with a pva stick. Well to say the least nothing was caught i went home after 2hrs due to not feeling too good and my friend having had enough and at 12pm i had to go back to college so yea need to get out on to a proper fishery and catch a nice carp.
